The Great 300 Macaron Bake-Off

E and I are working on perfecting our macaron game. Batch #3, green tea flavored. Still figuring out how to eliminate “nipples” and prevent skins from cracking. We will not be defeated.

FBF: Valentine’s Day Special

I made sandwich #227, heart-shaped brownie sandwiches with Ricotta cream cheese filling last year for E for Valentine’s Day. This year, I’ve got some other treats in mind.

Road Trippin’ and Donut Dip-pin

Fine, the Patriots won. Congrats. Guess now would be a good time to discuss one of my last trips to Pats Nation. When E and I were in Vermont the other weekend, our friend/devoted reader Charlene T.  suggested we stop off at Donut Dip in Springfield, MA.

Friday Fun

It’s Friday, my man is out of town, and I have the entire apartment to myself!

Wedding Wednesday: The 4-Hour Wedding

I’ve been obsessively reading Timothy Ferriss’ “The 4-Hour Workweek” since my pal G gave it to me for Christmas. It got me thinking: could I apply his techniques to wedding planning?

Happy New Year!

Everything I need to celebrate New Year’s Eve is here. Champagne, sparkly high heels, my pass to get into my office in Times Square (which shall be interesting today, since I’ll have to fight 3 million people there to watch the ball drop to get to work), and this rich pumpkin bourbon cheesecake by Smitten […]

Christmas Down South

E and I have headed south for the holiday. This is the first time I’ve been warm for Christmas, warm enough that even Frosty the Snowman here can get a tan. I believe this is the beginning of a new tradition for me. Post will be intermittent, but wanted to say Happy Holidays to all […]

Wedding Wednesday: Aussie Inspiration

This Australian wedding featured on Style Me Pretty has been the inspiration for E and I’s wedding planning. The helicopter, the beach. The putting on lipstick from the co-pilot’s seat. We have gone through this wedding album about 30 times. Elopement is looking more and more appealing….

Wedding Wednesday: Love Your Troubles

I’ve been reading this book, “May Cause Miracles” by Gabrielle Bernstein, in order to help me deal with stress and the good ol’ overwhelming feeling that comes around planning a wedding/writing a book/lack of time/pressing work deadlines. It helped me avoid a minor wedding freakout yesterday.

Throwback Tuesday

One year ago today, Mr. 300 Sandwiches was 100 sandwiches away from an engagement ring. Actually, he was  only 57 sandwiches away. But who knew it at the time?

Highs and Lows of Thanksgiving Planning

FAIL: I accidentally put the wrong date on our Thanksgiving dinner invitations. I had people saying they couldn’t come for dinner yesterday, when I meant to invite them over in two weeks. SUCCESS: Ordered our turkey from this place already! Gobble gobble!

Throwback Thursday: One Year Ago

One year ago today, THIS HAPPENED! I got the opportunity to turn this passion project of mine into a book. I also made a simple red dress from Zara a part of Internet history. Now, it’s coming to a store near you. Don’t forget to pre-order the book on Amazon.com, iTunes, and Barnes & Noble […]

Update—The 300 Sandwiches Book is also on B&N and iTunes!

I’m such a novice at this whole book writing/publishing thing, I had no idea other people besides Amazon might be carrying the book by now. No disrespect to other retailers, I swear! But, let this serve as notice that you PRE-ORDER YOUR COPY OF THE “300 SANDWICHES” BOOK AT AMAZON.COM, ITUNES, and BARNES AND NOBLE.COM […]
