Sandwich #88–“For You, Dear (Not Me)” Smoked Salmon Crepe

Rating: Compromise and sacrifice. These are the hallmarks of many successful relationships. When you’re in a relationship with someone, you can’t always have things your way. You can’t pick the movie all the time, or the restaurant, or what color sheets you and your mate will sleep on. Breakfast is no different.

Sandwich #85–“Guy Night Out” Turkey Lettuce Wraps

Rating: E deserved a break from taking care of me all week. Poor thing hadn’t seen his friends, hadn’t gone out to dinner or drinks since I came down with the flu. Since I was back to work, E wanted to reclaim his social life. “I’m having Scotch tonight!” he declared.

Suggestion Box

E: It’s Fashion Week. Why not make a Fashion Week themed sandwich? Me: You mean air wrapped in lettuce?

Sandwich #80–“Kickoff!!!!” Pulled Chicken Sliders

Rating: Dunzo! Pulled chicken. Fall-apart-on-the-fork chicken. In the Crock-Pot. Finished with a bit of molasses to give it a sweet kick. Kammy and crew will be well-fed through the fourth quarter. I hope they’ve got plenty of rum and bourbon to make Mardi Gras appropriate drinks to accompany my perfectly cooked meat.

Now I’m Obsessed

with my Crock-Pot. 1 a.m. Friday night. Making steak for Philly Cheesesteaks tomorrow. This is what I do now instead of going out the club. My how I’ve aged.
