Ah, the biggest seal of approval when you’re cooking something for your sweetie is hearing, “babe, that smells good!” This morning, I cranked out homemade granola bars for granola bar sandwiches I plan to experiment with today.
I eat varieties of granola bars every day at work as a snack, and am always trying to find the most flavorful one or the one with the least amount of sugar and calories. So I figured, why not try to make my own? These above are packed with rolled oats, chocolate chips, cranberries, coconut, pecans and chia seeds, for a nutty sweet texture. The granola made our whole house smell like nutty dessert, and E was downright salivating when I took them out of the oven. Victories in the kitchen really give a gal a boost of confidence. Bring on the work day!
I’ll post the recipe in a bit, but first, I have to slice a few bars of this to take with me to the office
