Only 5 Days Until Christmas

and I haven’t even started baking Christmas cookies. In fact, the only thing I’ve done is buy a bunch of decorating tools, cookie cutters, chocolate chips and other baking needs…and leave them on the counter to collect dust. I better get it together in time to leave out some sandwich cookies for Santa.

Spotted On The Street

Manhattan, Tuesday afternoon. 20th Street near Park Avenue. That’s a pretty strong claim, my friend. Perhaps I’ll invite the owner over for a meal at my house. Then we’ll see if he keeps the name on the side of the truck.

This just made me smile. I was Googling for old-school advertisements for sandwiches, and came across this. Can you imagine if I brought these home to sleep on? The first thing E would say is: “You’re sleeping on the tomato. You know how I feel about raw sliced tomatoes on sandwiches.”
